For that to happen, the successful candidate is expected to forge and maintain strong relationships with local Finance Teams, Group Reporting, Tax, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership & Transition\nLead the growth and day-to-day management of a high-performing Accounting team, by providing guidance, support and, technical expertise and ensure high quality delivery.\nBuild KPIs for the Accounting team and track them on a regular basis.\nOwn the transition and handover of accounting activities from local accounting teams in Europe to the SSC, ensuring appropriate knowledge transfer and business continuity.\nLead company-wide accounting projects and act as a SSC ambassador and key point of contact for stakeholders.\nAccounting & Month-End Closing\nDrive the implementation and continuous improvement of processes related to efficient accounting activities across the countries within scope.\nLead month-end closing activities, oversee accruals, balance sheet account reconciliations, and reconciliation reporting.\nDrive accurate and timely monthly reporting to Group through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).\nEnsure accounting impacts arising from P2P activities are appropriately recorded and reconciled.\nTax, Compliance & Reporting\nSupport the oversight of internal controls and the annual controls self-assessment process.\nCollaborate with the Tax function on accounting and tax-related matters.\nEnsure accounting processes and records comply with applicable Group policies, internal controls, and local statutory requirements.\nSupport interim, year-end external, and statutory audits, coordinating accounting documentation and responses as required.\nSupport the preparation of statutory Annual Reports and related financial information.\nStakeholder & Local Finance Collaboration\nBuild strong relationships with local Finance teams, Group Reporting, Tax, external service providers, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders.\nMaintain close collaboration with local Finance specialists on accounting, taxation, statutory reporting, and other local requirements.\nEnsure Shared Services activities remain aligned with local legislation and statutory accounting requirements.\nWhat Verisure offers\nDynamic and vibrant environment - Our office is an open-plan space in which you will be able to interact with the best professional from different teams at all levels\nPeriodic team building activities! - Because it’s important to have fun!\nYearly learning and training programs tailored to each team’s needs\nOn-site Gym - Because keeping healthy habits is key!\nAccess to a robust Employee Assistance Program with Pulso Europe Portugal that includes 5 different support areas (Nutrition, Psychology, Legal, Finance/Fiscal, and Psychosocial)\nHybrid model - Up to 2 days at home per week with two weeks per year to work wherever you prefer, during holiday seasons.
