We have a talented team of hardware and software engineers working with the latest IoT technologies.\nThe CU Devices team is expanding in both responsibility and size and to secure continuous growth, we are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to strengthen the team.\nThis role will be a key contributor, developing our complex alarm systems for the secure and connected smart home, including development of new products or the evolution of existing ones. We are looking for a highly driven, talented, and experienced engineer with a broad and deep level of technical understanding of electronics technologies, you must also have good social skills and really like to work together with others solving issues and creating solutions.\nAbout the role\nGather, analyze, and break down hardware requirements.\nDesign and documentation of the schematics\nSelection of electronics components to be used in new products.\nMaintenance, validation of second source alternatives, and management of BOMs.\nSupport to manufacturing process and production testing, partner with EMS to facilitate creation, test, evaluation of factory test equipment, continuous improvement of factory line, and defect analysis.\nTesting, validation and debugging of prototypes and final designs.\nWork alongside SW engineers to help development and debugging.\nCollaborate with different functional groups internally (QA, Procurement, etc) and externally (Vendors, EMS).\nMonitor and prepare reports for all R&D activities associated with Hardware development.\nSelect correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones\nFacilitate “design for cost” and “design for manufacturability” reviews, often with a 3rd party independent company.\nSupport the certification process.\nWho are you\nMinimum of 6 years’ experience designing electronics: schematics and layout of PCBs.\nExperience in document requirements and specifications.\nExperience in multilayer and high-speed (e.g. DDR, USB, Ethernet, PCIe) designs.\nExperience in design with processors (MPUs) and/or fast microcontrollers (MCUs) and external memories.\nExperience with testing, validating and debugging prototypes.\nExperience with design for manufacturing/industrialization on mass volume production and testing tools\nExperience in full cycle product development (concept to adoption).\nExperience in certification processes, according to the relevant standards or regulations,\nUnderstanding of digital and radio communication systems.\nRF knowledge is a plus.\nSoftware development experience is a plus.\nKnowledge of automated testing frameworks is a plus.\nspoken languages: English - Professional, Spanish - Strongly recommended but not mandatory.\nCompetencies\nAbility to solve complex problems\nAbility to break down a complex task into actionable tasks\nStructured, works methodically and with a structured approach.\nDetail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate, to anticipate constraints and identify optimization or alternative solutions.\nPassionate about the development of new products and services in an agile fashion.\nEasily create trustful work relationships across all levels.\nPersistent, follow through an assignment or task until it is successfully completed.\nPositive attitude also when it is difficult, a “can do” approach.\nContributes to collaborative teamwork.\nResult oriented, deliver as promised.\n\nCreative in seeking new solutions.\nLoves communication and communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.\nAnalytical, collects and evaluate information, suggests best approach and decisions\nOpen-minded, open to changes and new tasks, which go beyond the official job description \nAble to remain stable and balanced under stressful circumstances. \nSkills\nAltium\nUse of lab equipment\nPython\nGit\nCI/CD\nJira, Confluence\nLocation: Madrid, Spain\nApply Today!\nInterested in joining us?
