You will also play an important part in maintaining the high reliability and performance of our applications by:\nEnsuring compliance with defined quality criteria.\nEnsuring the effective use of automated deployment tools and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of related processes, documentation, and quality standards.\nMonitoring SLA compliance based on defined KPIs.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Linux/OS Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a key part of the team responsible for maintaining and evolving our infrastructure. You will work across Linux, physical infrastructure, virtualization, automation, storage, and cloud technologies in an environment where technical expertise and new ideas are highly valued.\nYour responsibilities will include:\n Administering physical servers end-to-end, including rack-mounted and blade servers, firmware and BIOS updates, component-level troubleshooting (RAID controllers, NICs, power supplies, memory), and coordination with hardware vendors regarding warranty and support cases.\nAdministering and supporting Linux servers, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including software installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, and capacity management.\nManaging and monitoring enterprise storage solutions, including Pure Storage, NetApp, and Dell.\nImplementing and administering virtualization environments (VMware), including hypervisor management, resource allocation, and VM migrations with minimal impact.\nDeveloping automation scripts using Ansible, Python, and Shell to simplify and improve operational tasks, from OS provisioning to hardware inventory and health checks.\nSupporting and managing cloud services within the AWS ecosystem.\nApplying security best practices and implementing robust security measures across Linux systems.\nSystematically capturing and maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices to support consistency, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.\nContributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on resource optimization and infrastructure scalability.\nResponding to incidents and ensuring timely resolution.\nParticipating in project deployments and helping ensure smooth execution.\nMonitoring system performance and service availability.\nProviding technical support and expertise to development teams.\nParticipating in 24/7 support shifts as part of the team’s operational coverage.\nRequirements\nWe are looking for someone with strong hands-on Linux and infrastructure experience who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and continuously improving the way things are done.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent proven professional experience.\nFluency in English and Spanish.\nA minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux administration (RHEL), including:Core server administration: installations, configuration, patching, performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity management.\nHands-on experience with physical server hardware, including installation, firmware/BIOS management, component diagnostics, and vendor coordination.\nExperience migrating operating system and hardware versions with minimal impact.\n\nA minimum of 5 years of experience in virtualization and scripting.
