This role includes managing the shipment of finished products, ensuring accuracy in orders, coordinating with transportation providers, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The supervisor leads a team of shipping personnel, optimizes workflows, and ensures on-time delivery to customers.Job Responsibilities:\n•Oversee daily shipment planning and execution across both corrugated/converting facilities.Monitor and manage the status of outbound loads and coordinate internal Work In Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG) transfers between all corrugated/converting sites.\nSupervise and provide guidance to shipping loaders across the facility.\nConduct routine floor walks to inspect load quality and pallet integrity, ensuring all shipments meet company standards (e.g., stretch wrap, strapping, loading configuration, cleanliness).\nCollaborate with the scheduler to ensure shipments to our customers on time.\nCommunicate daily with 3rd party logistics partner regarding trailer movements, load status, and delays.\nNotify Customer Service and Sales promptly of any shipping delays or disruptions.\nManage/monitor equipment, labor and resources to ensure we are lean and cost effective.\nEnforce safety policy/protocol and ensure a safe, clean, organized work environment.\nMonitor trailer and dock safety, ensuring compliance with company safety standards and procedures.\nOversee monthly and year-end inventory processes, ensuring accurate reconciliation and reporting.\nProvide back-up support for the Shipping Clerk as needed.\n•Conduct cycle counts and manage warehouse accounts finished goods inventory.\nAdditional Responsibilities & Qualifications:\nStrong leadership and team-management skills.\nProficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.\nKnowledge of shipping regulations and safety compliance.\nWork Experience:\n•3-5 years of related job experience.•Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.•Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.•Strong planning and organization skills are required.Education:\n•High School Diploma/GED Preferred•Associate/Bachelor's Degree PreferredWorking Conditions:\nThe work environment for this position requires:\nRegularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur.\nExposure to loud noise.\nExposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. \nAbility to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.\nWalking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.\nSitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment. \nLifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance .\nStooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.
