Leveraging your expertise in vendor management and data analytics, you will serve as a subject matter expert, resolving complex benefit escalations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving innovative wellness solutions for our workforce.\nAdditional responsibilities include:\nAct as the primary subject matter expert for dental, vision, and prescription drug plans. Partner with vendors to research, troubleshoot, and resolve complex employee benefit inquiries.\nOversee day-to-day vendor operations, ensuring contractual compliance, operational efficiency, and financial oversight. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure alignment across key milestones and program deliverables, including all privacy, legal, security and related requirements are met.\nMonitor vendor reporting and leverage data analytics to evaluate plan outcomes, identify health trends, and recommend strategic plan design enhancements. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and promote employee self-service.\nReview Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs) and benefit communications for accuracy. Track HIPAA compliance alongside vendor partners, generate quarterly reports, and partner with communications teams to keep internal and external benefit sites updated.\nManage annual Health Plan Management (HPM) renewal process across health partners to make year over year changes to our benefits and provide updates to the benefit admin team to ensure changes are documented and implemented for the new plan year. Assist with special projects such as: benefit integrations resulting from mergers and acquisitions, RFP vendor evaluations, legislative updates, and Annual Enrollment system testing.\nIn this hybrid role, you may sit out of any Verizon hub office location in the continental US.\nWhat we are looking for…\nYou’ll need to have:\nBachelor's degree four or more years of work experience.\nFour or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.\nExperience with the corporate employee benefits department and/or with a healthcare vendor.\nVendor management experience.\nWillingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.\nEven better if you have one or more of the following:\nA degree.\nExperience managing vendors and medical, dental, vision and prescription drug plans.\nStrong communication skills and ability to build relationships as well as work collaboratively across departments and vendors.\nExperience in evaluating data and trends into actionable insights that will support broader plan strategy.\nDemonstrates ability to independently manage complex escalations and juggle multiple projects/competing deadlines.\nDemonstrates foundational AI literacy, with experience leveraging Generative AI tools to streamline workflows.\nSelf-starter who comes to the table with out of the box ideas to improve processes.\nFamiliarity with collective bargaining agreements is a plus.\nStrong PC skills including Google Sheets, and Google Slides.\nIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
