Join the #VTeamLife.\nWhat you’ll be doing...\nAs a Cell Site Engineer, you’ll be out in the field keeping our facilities and equipment in top form by maintaining several locations in your assigned area. You’ll be doing regular maintenance, keeping inventories, doing audits, and maintaining and upgrading cell sites or installations. You’ll also be evaluating our network coverage and finding ways to make it even better.\nPerforming optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems and applications to identify overall system availability and performance.\nEvaluating network coverage to find gaps, making recommendations to improve coverage, and helping to implement those recommendations.\nPerforming triage, fault isolation, and remediation of network events.\nGenerating, driving, and updating problem-tracking tickets via multiple systems and continuously improving business practices.\nEscalating issues to the appropriate internal/external engineer teams for resolution.\nPhysical requirements of the job may include, but are not limited to: climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated areas, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to approximately 65 pounds, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting/bending, crawling, squatting, or kneeling in small spaces.\nWhere you’ll be working:\nIn this worksite-based role, you will provide cell site support across the Northeast portion of South Dakota and the surrounding area.\nWhat we’re looking for...\nYou’ll need to have:\nAssociate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.\nThree or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.\nAbility to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.\nValid driver’s license.\nWillingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.\nAbility to report to the designated job site/work location within 45 minutes to one hour of notice to provide rotational on-call coverage.\nWillingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.\nEven better if you have one or more of the following:\nA technical degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.\nKnowledge of telecommunications equipment and technologies like Telephony Switching, Data Communications and Network Routers.\nComputer support experience, including troubleshooting PC hardware and configurations.\nVendor management experience.\nIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this worksite-based role, you'll work onsite at a defined location(s).Scheduled Weekly Hours\n40Equal Employment Opportunity \nVerizon is an equal opportunity employer.
