The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional in the applications operations with a strong background in cloud-native technologies, automation, and the telecom domain. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our robust and scalable infrastructure, directly contributing to the reliability of our next-generation telecom services. This role requires an autonomous professional who can handle multiple tools and technologies in a fast-paced, DevOps-centric environment.\nDesigning, deploying, and managing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure across Kubernetes and OpenStack environments.\nDeveloping, executing, and maintaining robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation scripts using Ansible, Python, and Shell to automate provisioning and system configurations.\nAdministering and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to enable seamless software delivery, deployment agility, and rapid operational workflows.\nConfiguring and managing core IP networking services, including VPCs, VPNs, SDNs, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls.\nBuilding, packaging, and deploying microservices and application solutions utilizing containerization technologies like Docker.\nOperating and administering enterprise operational suites, including the VSOP toolchain, DML, and SON applications.\nBuilding, executing, and managing RPA (Robotic Process Automation) regression testing frameworks, as well as reporting, analyzing, and resolving operational defects.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously safeguard security, optimize operational performance, and enforce cloud governance.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.\nWhat we are looking for\nYou’ll need to have:\nBachelor's degree or four or more years of equivalent work experience.\nStrong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker, and other OS virtualization and containerization technologies.\nExpertise in scripting and coding, specifically Ansible, Python, and shell.\nSound knowledge of the Telecom Domain, including 4G/5G, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), MANO, and SOL standards.\nStrong knowledge of IP Networking, including VPC, VPN, SDN, DNS, and firewalls.\nProven experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools, particularly gitlab.\nDemonstrated ability to manage and optimize database and storage solutions.:\nExperience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and configuration management tools like Ansible, postman,\nFamiliarity with the day-to-day operational use of centralized tools like the VSOP tool chain, DML, and SON Applications.\nEven Better if you have one or more of the following:\nA Master’s degree\nIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours\n40Equal Employment Opportunity\nVerizon is an equal opportunity employer.
