Join the #VTeamLife.\nWhat you'll be doing...\nYou will be responsible for analyzing, recommending, approving and negotiating custom pricing proposals for Public Sector standard solutions across an assigned set of large, strategic accounts with potential total contract values of $100M+. The Pricing Manager will also support complex renewals, as well as requests for significant contract terms and conditions modifications. They will perform in-depth financial modeling & risk analysis, and establish price points to ensure margins are aligned with business objectives.\nFinancial & Business Acumen\nPerforming detailed business case analysis via the ability to independently create a pricing evaluation (IDEA) model, and recommending, creating and approving customer pricing for complex proposals.\nEvaluating and analyzing based on profitability, competition, market nuances, and account strategy.\nEnsuring all costs to support the deal are accurately captured and properly reflected in the financial model.\nUnderstanding the operation of underlying cost models and modify financial model as required.\nEnsuring DLM (Deal Lifecycle Management) & EMR (Executive Management Review) deliverables are completed in accordance with process guidelines.\nNegotiation\nActing as Verizon's lead negotiator and decision maker with regards to pricing on assigned deals.\nInfluencing or negotiating contracts with internal and external legal teams, customer executives and consultants.\nUnderstanding and quickly analyzing the impacts associated with changes to the technical solution and contract terms that are suggested during a negotiation and make appropriate and well thought-out decisions.\nCommunication\nPreparing and presenting detailed financial briefings for internal teams as well as executive management, including discussion of RFP pricing requirements and evaluation criteria, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics.\nCommunicating pricing and any custom terms & conditions to internal stakeholders and customers as required.\nCreating and issuing Approval Notes.\nCollaboration\nWorking closely with key stakeholders (Sales, Billing and Contract Assurance, Legal, Tax, Regulatory) to ensure the cost/price proposal is compliant, accurate, competitive and profitable.\nPartnering with cross-functional teams to improve processes.\nCompliance\nMaintaining accuracy of deal financials in Smartsheets as appropriate.\nEnsuring adherence with EMR and CPS103 processes and obligations.\nComplying with CPE NDP, Capital, and other guidelines as appropriate.\nWhat we're looking for...\nYou’ll need to have:\nBachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.\nSix or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience or specialized training.\nSix or more years financial analysis, pricing and/or equivalent experience.\nExperience with contract negotiations, pricing, and purchasing.\nEven better if you have one or more of the following:\nExtended experience in the Public Sector market space.\nBachelor’s degree in a related field like Business, Finance, or Economics.\nMaster’s degree - ideally an MBA.\nAdvanced analytical skills. Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Doc, Powerpoint/Google Slides.\nAbility to use advanced expertise to resolve diverse/complex problems.\nDemonstrated leadership and negotiation skills; ability to make sound business decisions quickly under pressure.\nSuperior communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with customers, senior leaders and employees of all levels.\nSelf motivated and able to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
