This role will drive the strategic execution and optimization of automation and AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables and operational excellence.\nThe position will be responsible for developing and executing effective test automation strategies specifically for mobile app, web and services testing for all Value segments and infusing AI to reduce time and save cost, collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure quality, and leading a team of QA professionals.\nLead the development and implementation of a comprehensive automation strategy for web and service applications.\nDesign and manage scalable and robust automation frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing.\nEvaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven tools to improve test case generation, defect prediction, and testing accuracy.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, QA) to embed automation and AI solutions into CI/CD pipelines.\nStay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in AI and automation, bringing innovative solutions to the organization.\nMentor and coach a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.\nDefine and track KPIs for automation and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.\nManage resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for automation and AI projects.\nYou’ll need to have:\nBachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.\nSix or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training\nExperience in automation testing of web applications, API’s.\nExpertise in automation frameworks like Playwright or similar.\nExperience with AI/ML tools and techniques, particularly in testing and defect management.\nExperience building MCP servers, tools, and integrations connecting LLM agents to internal systems.\nExperience with developer AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Devin AI.\n Even better if you have:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.\nStrong programming skills in languages like TypeScript, Python, or similar, with deep hands-on expertise using Playwright (with TypeScript).\nDeep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments.\nExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to adapt to and drive change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nExperience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis\nCertifications in AI/ML or Automation Testing tools.\nExperience with tools like PyTorch, or other AI frameworks.\nKnowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.\nFamiliarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.\nIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
