Join the #VTeamLife.\nWhat you’ll be doing...\nAs a Senior Engineer Varicent ICM, you will lead changes and maintenance to the Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform use cases with guidance from the team manager. This role will work collaboratively with team members to design and implement solutions for compensation plan changes, and perform defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution.\nParticipate in stakeholder discussions to understand requirements, determine system supportability, align on design approach, and define implementation effort.\nEngage key stakeholders to address issues and ensure timely resolution.\nPresent solutions that are consistent with architecture and application design.\nConfigure Varicent calculations and other components in accordance with the application framework and best practices.\nDesign and implement new solutions to complex problems in the business using the Varicent application, Python, SQL, and/or JavaScript.\nExecute migrations to maintain a stable environment.\nSupport testing efforts for new compensation configuration.\nAct as a subject matter expert for Varicent ICM with a thorough understanding of agent and employee compensation.\nWhat we’re looking for...\nYou have strong analytical skills, are eager to work in a collaborative environment with a global team to design and implement end-to-end commissions calculation and analytics solutions, triage calculation and reporting issues, and communicate challenges to leadership. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are able to interact with various partners and multi-functional teams to design, implement, and resolve business issues.\nYou’ll need to have:\nBachelor's degree or four or more years work experience.\nFour or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.\nExperience in Finance, Accounting, or Finance Operations.\nExperience with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) systems, specifically Varicent ICM.\nExperience with compensation plans and contract structures.\nExperience with all phases of end-to-end Analytics project, such as (but not limited to): Ingestion, Munging, Model Building, Validation, Operationalization, Monitoring.\nEven better if you have one or more of the following:\nMaster's degree.\nExpertise with Varicent ICM and ELT.\nExperience working in analytical projects in the telecom domain.\nAccuracy and attention to detail.\nExperience in Google Cloud Platform, SQL, ETL, Python, and JavaScript.\nProblem solving, analytical, and research skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication.\nExperience presenting to and influencing functional leaders and partners.\nAbility to work effectively independently and willingness to learn new technologies.\nExperience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.\nKnowledge of software development life cycle and supporting tools like Jira, ALM, qTest, etc.\nIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager.
