Join the #VTeamLife.\nWhat you’ll be doing...\nIn this role as a Sr Engr in the Tech Strategy & Planning team for Enterprise Architecture team, you'll be managing multiple programs designed to help GTS move towards its strategic objectives. You will be a key contributor in planning and building Engineering Excellence deliverables, and ensuring the smooth and successful execution of initiatives by coordinating with cross-functional teams. Your expertise will help us solve complex problems and find unique solutions to optimize the development landscape of our organization. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nTechnology Road-mapping: Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and evolving industry trends.\n\nEngaging with Technology, Business stakeholders and Senior Leadership to drive product roadmap, define the priorities and deliver products with best quality for a high scale use.\n\nWorking closely with the Architects and cross functional teams to ensure overall architecture and design are aligned with Industry’s best practices.\n\nInnovation and Research: Stay updated on emerging technologies, assess their relevance to the business, and propose innovative solutions.\n\nVendor and Partner Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors and partners to ensure they support the organization's strategic objectives.\n\nWork closely with process experts to analyze and design solutions based on business requirements.\n\nWhat we’re looking for...\nYou get excited by the possibilities that technology creates and how it can improve people’s lives. No stranger to working in a fast-paced environment, you convey a sense of urgency and balance multiple opposing priorities with ease, never missing a deadline.\nYou’ll need to have:\nMinimum 8 years of experience in one or more of Data Science, LLM, Gen AI\n\nMaster’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred\n\nEstablished experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end users\n\nDevelopment and testing of Generative AI solution both through Agentic and non-AgenticAI\n\nDeep understanding of frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, LangSmith\n\nDeep understanding of Data preprocessing, Prompt management, Caching, Validation, Advanced RAG, RLHF and success measurement.\n\nThorough understanding of LLMOps, data pipelines and other common services required to operationalize the Generative AI use cases.\n\nDesigning end-to-end Generative AI solutions tailored to specific Verizon use cases.\n\nDeep understanding of automation and AI technologies and their application in business operations.\n\nDevelop scalable prototypes of LLM and NLP Modules and systems which are critical to the company’s product lines.\n\nApply state-of-the-art LLM techniques to understand a large amount of unstructured data and translate them to a meaningful and structured data\n\nStrong independent and creative research skills necessary to keep up with the latest trends in advanced analytics and Gen AI\n\nIdentify new process opportunities, while quickly assessing feasibility.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills able to effectively communicate technical details to a non-technical audience.\n\nEven better if you have one or more of the following:\nFamiliarity with Graph DB Concepts\n\nFamiliarity with one or more Data Platforms - CloudEra, Snowflake, DataBricks etc.\n\nExperience in text processing, Vector databases and embedding models.\n\nIf Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.\nWhere you’ll be working\nIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.Scheduled Weekly Hours\n40Equal Employment Opportunity\nVerizon is an equal opportunity employer.
