We’re rapidly scaling this impact: today, more than 2 million Verkada devices are deployed across 170+ countries. \nAbout the Role\nVerkada’s Marketing Analytics and Data Science team is looking for a strategic analytics leader to play an integral role in leveraging our data and technology to help our marketing team run better, faster, and smarter. This role operates like an internal strategy consultant, using data to diagnose performance, uncover growth opportunities, evaluate ROI, and turn ambiguous business questions into clear recommendations.\nOur team works AI-first, using tools like Claude Code alongside SQL, dbt, and Looker to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and build internal tools.\nThis role reports to our Senior Manager of Data Science and Analytics. We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our HQ in San Mateo 5 days a week. \nWhat You'll Do\nAnalyze campaign, channel, segment, and funnel performance to identify growth opportunities and performance drivers.\nEvaluate marketing ROI and help inform where we invest time and budget.\nTurn ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, recommendations, and clear next steps.\nBuild forecasts, targets, business cases, and measurement frameworks.\nIndependently analyze large datasets and test hypotheses.\nPartner with leadership to define KPIs and influence strategic decisions.\nBuild scalable analytics, automation, and AI-powered tools that help teams move faster.\nCommunicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, consulting, growth, or a related field.\nAdvanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets.\nStrong business judgment and a track record of turning analysis into action.\nExperience with marketing, growth, funnel, revenue, or go-to-market analytics.\nExperience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including with senior leaders.\nComfort operating independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\nComfort using AI tools to improve how analytical work gets done.\nMust be able and willing to work in-office 5 days a week\nNice to Have\nExperience with Python or another analytical language.\nExperience with modern analytics tools such as dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, and AI coding tools.\nExperience with experimentation, causal inference, or incrementality measurement.\nExperience with enterprise B2B go-to-market strategy.\nExperience with forecasting, target setting, or investment/resource allocation.\nAdditional Information:\nYou must be independently authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role, at this time.\n\nAnnual Pay Range\nAt Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company.
