This role requires balancing out new product/capability builds with an emphasis on resilience and reliability. Expertise in distributed/financial systems that require high uptime is essential, knowledge around finance systems such as Netsuite is a bonus. The team owns a partner facing product and will require collaboration with product managers as well as go to market teams.\nWhat You'll Do\nProvide strategic direction and set up technical vision to raise our bar on reliability, scalability, and availability of our global infrastructure.\nManage cross-functional collaboration with orders, supply chain, finance and other GTM teams to initiate, drive critical business initiatives and deliver with high quality\nMentoring engineers on good architecture choices (tech spec reviews) as well as balancing out stakeholder requirements on latency.\nWork with different organizations to build future roadmap alongside evolving business processes.\nBuild and lead the team through effective recruitment, mentoring, and leadership.\nWhat You Bring\n4+ years of experience in managing, leading, and inspiring a team of engineers, including hiring, retaining, and managing performance.\n10+ years of work experience in a software engineering role, with proven technical leadership skills and expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).\nAbility to spot gaps between process and tools, and a strong commitment to close them.\nProficient in agile team software development and strong project management, delivering complex projects within defined timelines and resource constraints.\nAdept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating effectively, and aligning efforts to achieve common goals.\nExperience with Python or Go, and familiarity with backend development flow, including server-side framework and database system.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Kubernetes, AWS and Terraform\nExperience with Netsuite (or any other ERP)\nExperience building long term roadmaps and presenting to Executives. \nHands-on leadership experience managing platform teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment.\nExperience implementing scalable and reliable solutions using modern cloud and DevOps practices.\nUS Employee Benefits\nVerkada is committed to fostering a workplace environment that prioritizes the holistic health and wellbeing of our employees and their families by offering comprehensive wellness perks, benefits, and resources.
