You contribute to robust product design decisions by delivering reliable finite-element and surrogate models, correlating simulations with physical tests, and supporting design optimization throughout the product development lifecycle.\nMain responsibilities :\nDevelop structural finite-element models for Li-ion battery cells, module and pack assemblies, and associated components.\nPerform meshing on complex 3D CAD designs and run structural and thermo-mechanical simulations under static and dynamic events such as shock, vibration, crash and durability.\nBuild surrogate models and reduced-order models from full-order finite-element models to accelerate design exploration.\nValidate simulation models against physical test results and document correlation assumptions, limitations, and confidence levels.\nConstruct analysis workflows with product design engineers to support thermo-mechanical design optimization from early concept phases through the product lifecycle.\nDevelop physical test and simulation methods for mechanical characterization of cells, modules, and components, including material model identification.\nReview scientific and technical literature to identify state-of-the-art methods for modeling, characterization, and structural or thermo-mechanical analysis.\nCollaborate with product development leaders to deliver simulation case studies in line with project priorities and timelines.\nLead technical investigations, perform diagnostic analyses, prepare progress updates, and contribute to design review dossiers.\nContribute to intellectual property development by identifying and documenting innovative modeling methods, workflows, or design insights.\nRequirements :\nMaster’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a closely related discipline.\nSpecialized knowledge in structural mechanics, strength of materials, thermal engineering, and thermo-mechanical behavior.\n10+ years of experience preferred in structural and thermal modeling, finite-element analysis, and model validation.\nProficiency in CAD, meshing, mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and model order reduction techniques.\nProficiency in scientific coding, preferably Python and/or Matlab.\nExperience with simulation tools such as 3DEXPERIENCE, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, or equivalent platforms.\nExperience in, and aptitude for, hands-on laboratory activities and physical test interpretation.\nProject management experience;
