Technical contributions to permitting matrices, path to power, connectivity and other key technical deliverables.\nPermitting Design: Responsible technical land due diligence and permit design deliverables set and driving the team toward a fully compliant design.\nProcurement Design: Incorporating market and buildability constraints with an emphasis on value engineering and predicable delivery.\nManufacturing & Construction: Inspection of installations against the Plan of Record in partnership with the development team, acting as technical point of contact. Technical approver of variations.\nCommissioning: Review that scripts adequately describe commissioning activities which demonstrate system design objectives. Witness commissioning.\nHandover: Verify as-builts and all technical documentation adequately describes the facility in a manner that Operations can guarantee uptime.\nHow you’ll do it:\nDirect and oversee Professional Consultants (Architects, Engineers), Equipment Supplier technical teams and specialist contractor technical teams.\nWork in partnership with Project Engineering lead to address project specific requirements.\nAppoint specialist consultants or suppliers as necessary to achieve specified deliverables.\nReview consultant and supplier technical deliverables for adherence to Verne design & engineering standards.\nContribute lessons learned and key breakthroughs to Verne design & engineering program continuous improvement.\nHost page turn meetings, review all technical deliverables by the Client Team.\nDevelop and maintain vendor relationships (Suppliers, Consultants, Engineers, Architects) to maintain cost-effective services for Verne projects.\nApprove consultant invoices.\nEnsure project engineering reports and progress aligns with Verne Engineering overarching requirements.\nPresent the design, design deviations, value engineering report and quality assurance report at the conclusion of each stage gate.\nWhat you’ll need\nBachelors in Engineering or a physical sciences\nFluent French \n5+ years experience in a hands-on design role (e.g. performing calculations, authoring specifications and drawing sets as a consultant, or as an in-house engineer for a design build contractor)\n3+ years in a project delivery capacity (e.g. accountable for managing a schedule of deliverables for technically complex projects)\nExcellence in bringing a team together to deliver\nDegree-level subject matter expertise in at least one Data Centre related technical discipline (e.g. electrical distribution, critical cooling, mission critical controls)\nComfort and familiarity with directing all other technical disciplines and holding individual engineers to account, including general building services engineering.\nComfort in managing a budget, financial acumen to liaise with finance and to drive cost effectiveness from our professional services supply
