As Kitchen Supervisor, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the cooked food kitchen, leading a small team whilst ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.\nThis role is ideal for an experienced production, manufacturing or kitchen supervisor who enjoys leading people, improving processes and working alongside their team in a fast-paced environment\nAbout the role:\nReporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the cooked food kitchen, overseeing a team of five staff producing a range of products including pies, sausage rolls and Scotch eggs.\nThis is a hands-on supervisory position. You'll lead by example, supporting the team throughout the day while ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are achieved.\nStarting at 5:00am, you will organise the daily production schedule, allocate labour resources, monitor progress throughout the shift and ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and on time\nIn particular, you will:\nLead, motivate and support a team of production operatives\nSet up production plans and ensure resources are in place to meet demand\nMonitor productivity and support KPI achievement\nMaintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance\nWork alongside the team during busy periods to support production output\nDrive continuous improvements in efficiency, quality and waste reduction\nEnsure machinery, ingredients and resources are available when required\nSupport training and development across the team\nWho we are looking for:\nPrevious management experience within a food production or manufacturing environment\nStrong production planning and workforce scheduling skills\nExperience monitoring KPIs, productivity and operational performance\nProven ability to lead, motivate and develop production teams\nExcellent organisational and communication skills\nA proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to solve problems effectively\nGood knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety and manufacturing best practices\nExperience within a butchery, bakery, meat processing or food manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not essential\nIn return we are offering:\nCompetitive salary of £32,000 -
