We partner with government agencies and road authorities to deliver road safety cameras and enforcement programs that help save lives, prevent serious injuries and make roads safer.\nWe are seeking a Customer Contracts Manager to lead customer contracting across our Government Solutions business.\nThis is a customer-facing, sell-side commercial contracts role. You will personally draft and negotiate revenue-generating agreements under which Verra Mobility provides technology and services to government customers. It is not a procurement, category management or supplier-contract administration position.\nReporting to the Director, Government Contracts, you will work closely with Legal, Bids, Sales, Finance, Technology and Delivery.\nThe role is based in South Melbourne, with three days in the office and two days working from home. Occasional domestic travel may be required.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead the contractual workstream for government RFPs, tenders and sole-source opportunities.\nDraft, redline and negotiate customer MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, variations, change orders and related agreements.\nDevelop commercial positions that balance customer requirements, delivery commitments and organisational risk.\nIdentify and manage risks involving liability, indemnity, intellectual property, privacy, data security, warranties and termination.\nTranslate contract terms into clear obligations for operational and commercial teams.\nManage active contracts, obligations, variations and renewals through our CLM platform.\nDevelop practical templates, playbooks and standard contracting positions.\nImprove contract governance through automation, standardisation and process improvement.\nSupport third-party agreements required for customer delivery when necessary.\nWhat you’ll bring\nAt least 5+ years’ customer commercial contracts experience.\nDirect experience of drafting and negotiating agreements under which your organisation supplies technology or services.\nDemonstrated experience contracting with government or public-sector customers.\nExperience supporting tenders from opportunity stage through negotiation and execution.\nWorking knowledge of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, privacy, warranties and related commercial risks.\nExperience managing contracts across different jurisdictions.\nExperience using a dedicated CLM platform to manage contracts, obligations and renewals.\nCommercial understanding of pricing, invoicing and financial risk.\nThe ability to provide clear, practical advice while managing multiple deadlines.\nExperience based primarily on procurement, sourcing, category management or supplier contracts will not meet the requirements of this position.\nA degree in business, law, commerce or a related discipline is valued.
