This position operates under the guidance of the Database Manager and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable database solutions aligned with company initiatives.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement database architecture on Exadata systems (X4-X10) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).\nManage Oracle resources on Exadata systems, Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP-D) , and OCI Goldengate.\nOversee installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance of Oracle databases (19c or later).\nPerform backup and recovery using RMAN, Data Guard, and OCI-native tools.\nOptimize performance-SQL tuning, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, AWR/ASH reports.\nConfigure and maintain Oracle Active Data Guard, and disaster recovery environments.\nPerform duties related to migrating on-prem Oracle databases into the Oracle Gov Cloud infrastructure.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/Resource Manager.\nImplement high availability strategies, autoscaling, and load balancing.\nEnforce database security policies like encryption, auditing, access control, vault key management.\nManage user roles, privileges, authentication, and identity integration both On-prem and OCI (OCI IAM / IDCS).\nLead on-premises Oracle DB migrations to OCI using Data Pump / Transportable Tablespaces, GoldenGate, RMAN backup/restore workflows\nManage OEM environment including patching, upgrades etc.\nAnalyze incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement root-cause fixes, resolve issues with external and internally developed database applications.\nPerform database cloning operations from production to test and development environments on on-prem and OCI autonomous databases.\nImplement DDL/DML scripts in support of SCRUM application release cycles.\nAutomate recurring tasks through a combination of SQL, PL/SQL, or scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, OCI CLI, Python, etc.\nBasic knowledge and logical understanding of other databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, Mongo databases etc.\nAssess and suggest opportunities for application and process improvement\nPromote adherence to departmental/software development standards.\nPromote learning, understanding, and the general enablement of the DBA team.\nSet a professional example for the team through model behavior, superior performance, and proper attendance.\nManaging Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) for both data at rest and data in transit.\nQualifications: \nBA in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\n8+ years of Oracle database administration experience, with a focus on both on-prem SQL Server and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).\n3+ years of Oracle cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.\nKnowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL are preferred.\nAbility to own and manage tasks and/or projects with minimal direction\nAbility to successfully troubleshoot issues/provide solutions with minimal direction\nAbility to learn new technologies/applications with minimal direction\n‘Can do’ attitude towards solving problems and completing tasks\nCapable of researching and resolving issues with technologies outside of core competency\nExperience in Oracle RAC, ASM, Exadata (on-prem or cloud),Active Data Guard, Performance tuning, RMAN, OCI Goldengate Replication.\nStrong knowledge of Linux OS administration.\nStrong scripting skills such as OCI CLI, Python, Shell scripting, Perl, etc.\nBackup and all facets of recovery (simple restore, point in time recovery, etc.\nSuccessful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment.\nPersonal Skills and Attributes\nCapable to research and resolve issues with technologies outside of core competency.\nStrong technical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision within a global staffing environment.\nProven analytical/problem solving skills irrespective of database technology.\nAbility to adapt in a dynamic environment.\nAbility to effectively communicate with technical staff (applications development and technical services) and management.\nKeen attention to detail.\nWilling to support operations in a 24X7 environment, ensuring uptime and responsiveness.\nAbility to learn new technologies/applications with minimal direction.\nExtensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.\nMust be locally located and comfortable working a 3 days in office hybrid model and 2 days remote.\nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future.\nVerra Mobility Values\n\nAn ideal candidate for this role naturally works in alignment with the Verra Mobility Core Values:\nOwn It.
