The Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the day-to-day management of Sports Production finances, including payment, tracking, budgeting, and forecasting.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist with creating, tracking and actualizing production budgets for accurate cost forecasting\nPrepare and present ad hoc financial analyses to operators\nOwn accounts payable responsibilities; accurately code invoices, coordinate approvals, update operators and team members, and work with vendors as needed\nSupport financial planning and annual budget efforts: pacing and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities\nAssist with monthly closing process: journal entries, variance analysis, and post close financial reporting\nLead regular financial update meetings with operators\nParticipate in ad hoc projects, as necessary\n Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field\n1+ years of relevant finance, accounting, FP&A, production finance, media, or operational finance experience, including internships.\nAdvanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial modeling/reporting.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple budgets, invoices, and deadlines simultaneously.\nAbility to translate financial data into clear, actionable information for non-finance partners.\nDesired Characteristics:\nExperience with SAP and BPC preferred\nExcellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, in order to liaise with various internal and external professionals\nBackground in accounting and close cycles\nAbility to work independently, as well as collaboratively across the organization\nDemonstrated attention to detail\nStrong work ethic and follow through\nAbility to effectively manage priorities and deadlines\nConfident, accountable and solution focused\nDemonstrates initiative, self-motivation and leadership\nExperience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.\nAdditional Requirements:\nWillingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice\n Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the USA Sports office in Stamford, CT a minimum of three days per week\nThis position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.\n As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with a VERSANT Media employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
