In this role, you will provide coordinated technical support across all critical areas of the core control room positions. In addition, you will liaise with department managers to maintain and streamline cross-departmental communication for live-to-air, pre-production, events, and remote programming.\nResponsibilities:\nOversee control room operations for live and pre-recorded CNBC shows and News programs.\nAct as the first point of contact for control room and studio technical issues. Communicate with Engineers, Real-Time Graphics, and Transmission teams on solutions and workarounds during live programming.\nIdentify potential technical issues in the show’s iNews rundown and communicate those issues to the editorial team. This includes communicating potential resource conflicts and incorrect booking windows.\nProvide the control room with information regarding breaking news and work closely with Media Acquisition to ensure all essential sources are routed into the control room.\nEnsure quality control of all remotes to match framing, video, and audio levels to the Versant standard.\nCoordinate multi-camera remotes with Transmission, Field Technical Managers, and Production Managers.\nHandle the Zoom check-in process from start to finish.\nManage the show’s RS layout and IFB/PL designations for remotes.\nConstruct a remote shot sheet communicating all routing and RS/IFB/PL information to technical, production, and transmission teams.\nCoordinate and document commercial break changes with the Network Operations Center.\nDocument technical issues and communicate those issues in a Production Issue Report.\n Qualifications/Requirements\n3+ years of operations experience in a production control room, studio, or transmission\n2+ years of experience working in a live news environment\nDeep knowledge of control room and studio technology\nOperational knowledge of fiber, cellular bonding, satellite, and IP vendors and systems\nMust be flexible with assigned shifts, on call, and breaking news coverage\nMust be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ\nDesired Characteristics:\nSelf-managing individual, capable of meeting deadlines, and willing to learn new technologies\nAbility to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously\nStrong administrative and organizational skills\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nPrior experience with field/remote production processes\nPrior experience booking satellite, fiber, and studios\nPrior experience with iNews, ScheduAll, AZEdit, and Office 365\nAdditional Information:\nRequired On-Site: This position is required to be performed from a Versant Media-designated worksite.Salary Range $55 - $60 / hour\n\n As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with a VERSANT Media employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
