We never lose sight of safety, quality, integrity and innovation.\nWe are committed to our dedicated people, who inspire us every day to deliver something more powerful than power alone.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nA Cybersecurity Analyst II is responsible for protecting Versant Power's computer network and systems from cyber-attacks. This involves staying current on upcoming IT trends, creating contingency plans, examining data to identify suspicious activity and threats. Analysts are also responsible for implementing threat protection measures and security controls, reporting security breaches, educating the rest of the company on security measures, reviewing computer networks and identifying any potential vulnerabilities, installing the necessary software in order to protect it from unauthorized access, and documenting detections so that future breaches can be mitigated efficiently. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting the corporate mission of the IT department.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerforms such duties as, but not limited to the following:\nMonitor computer networks and systems for threats and security breaches\nExamining reports, data and analytics to identify suspicious activities and threats\nReviewing and installing Operating System and thrid party software patches\nDocumentation of processes, procedures and indications of compromise \nEnsuring that corporate data is removed from universal waste and assisting with disposal\nMonitoring and completing tasks in our ticketing system\nMonitoring and responding to any threats in our email system\nCreating an educational program to assist the company achieve it's corporate goals\nImplementing threat protection measures and security protocols\nPrepare reports on Indications of Compromise and updating processes and polices to evolve with the current threat landscape\nDeveloping and Implementing Organization-Wide Security Protocols\nIdentify and spotlight vulnerabilities with on-premises and remote networks, then work to remediate them\nUpdating and hosting a monthly education package to any departments that request additional Cyber Security training\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nStay current on Information Technology (IT) security trends and news \nWork with team members as needed for larger projects\nDevelop and mentor co-workers within Versant \nParticipate in meetings, presentations, and performance evaluations\nAct as an IT subject matter expert on various business teams\nEngage with relevant user groups\nPerform other duties assigned by Cybersecurity Supervisor \nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMust have an Associate' degrees with a preference towards a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science\nOver 2 years of experience in information security or related field\nExperience with computer networks, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft OS, Linux and Moblie Device Management\nAn understanding of firewalls, proxies, VPN's, MFA, SIEM, antivirus, patching and IDPS concepts\nAbility to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing a business to flourish\nMust have a strong customer service ethic, and the ability to work independently or in teams, with minimal or no supervision\nProject Management experience is helpful\nMust possess excellent written and oral communication skills\nMust be willing to travel for training, offsite work, and
