We never lose sight of safety, quality, integrity and innovation.\nWe are committed to our dedicated people, who inspire us every day to deliver something more powerful than power alone.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nThe IT Analyst II is an intermediate technical position responsible for support, maintenance, design and development for assigned Versant Power Information Systems.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nSupports the design, development and testing of new applications, application changes, and upgrades associated with the specified applications and related integration tools. \nProvides technical support, maintenance, development, programming and troubleshooting for Customer Information System (CIS) and the integration with other systems. \nExpertise and experience in the following: SQL\nProvide assistance to internal customers by providing reports, queries, data analyses, problem analysis and problem resolution.\nSupports synchronization of data between GIS/CIS/AMI/MDM.\nDevelops and maintains necessary working relationships with external service providers, vendors and other support personnel to resolve issues and ensure efficient operations.\nProvides documentation/project tracking and management reporting to support the department's work plan.\nProvides technical information for Disaster Recovery planning and participates in annual Technical Asset Review updates to help ensure asset life cycle management.\nComplies with internal audit requirements, test policies and change control processes.\nActively participates in CIS Team meetings and contributes to the decision-making processes.\nParticipates in after-hours call out for application support.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or management. \nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerforms other related duties as assigned, including designated duties associated with System Restoration, (SEOP) System Emergency Operations Plan.\nREQUIRED OR PREFERRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\nMust have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a client-focused IT support role.\nMust have a working knowledge of Customer Information Systems (CIS) or Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), and billing systems.\nExpertise with Oracle preferred or other relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL. \nStrong experience writing SQL required, experience with PL/SQL preferred. \nReporting expertise and experience with one or more (Cognos, TM1, SQL Server reporting services, and/or Crystal Reports) is a plus.\nMust have a strong customer service ethic, and the ability to work independently or in teams, with minimal or no supervision. Project Management experience is a plus.\nMust possess excellent written and oral communication skills.\nExperience working with MS Office applications, specifically Word and Excel, MS Project a plus. \nAlthough not required, experience with utility application systems, billing systems and/or electrical infrastructure and design would be an asset.\nMust be willing to travel for training and User Group participation. \nValid driver's license required. \nNOTES:\nPosition is primarily sedentary, with some walking and standing required.\nPosition requires mental and visual concentration.\nPosition requires excellent oral and written communication skills.\nPosition requires excellent organizational skills. \nWORK HOURS:\nUsual work hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Working between 40-50 hours may occur to meet deadlines.
