This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting documentation while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal controls. The role will partner closely with teams across Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and FP&A, as well as support process-improvement, ERP transformation, automation, and AI initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead purchase order and invoice-related accounting activities, including reviewing accruals, validating supporting documentation, and ensuring transactions follow company policy, and internal-control requirements.\nPrepare, review, and post complex journal entries and monthly accruals for corporate activities, including intercompany, legal reserves, facilities, cash, restructuring, prepaids, and other adjustments.\n•Own assigned BlackLine reconciliations, ensuring timely certification, complete support, appropriate review evidence, and resolution of reconciling items.\nPerform balance sheet and P&L variance analysis and prepare explanations for corporate flux reporting and management review.\nLiaise with the offshore team to review journal entries and reconciliation quality, provide accounting guidance, and escalate issues or control gaps.\nPartner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and other stakeholders to validate source data and ensure appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP and company policy.\nSupport monthly and quarterly close activities, including close checklists, reporting packages, recurring documentation, and audit support.\nMaintain compliance with internal accounting policies, SOX requirements, and established process controls; identify risks, deficiencies, and remediation opportunities.\nImprove close procedures, reconciliation standards, and recurring accounting processes.\nSupport ERP implementation, optimization, and transformation initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, process design, and post-implementation support.\nContribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve accounting processes, reporting, internal controls, and operational efficiency.\nIdentify and implement practical AI and automation opportunities that reduce manual work, improve data quality, and enhance existing processes while maintaining appropriate controls.\n Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred.\n4+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, audit, or public accounting experience.\nExperience in a publicly traded company, multinational organization, or Big 4/public accounting environment preferred.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, SOX compliance, and internal controls.\nStrong analytical judgment, communication, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills.\nAdvanced Excel skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nHybrid role requiring three days per week in the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.\nDesired Characteristics:\nDemonstrated ability to deliver on multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, work independently, and be effective and decisive under pressure.\nAbility to adapt and work well in a fast-paced, results-oriented and rapidly changing environment.\nAble to build strong working partnerships along with the ability to listen, understand, and influence across various levels within the organization.\nAdditional Requirements:\n Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.\nThis position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.\nSalary Range - $80,000-$95,000\nWhat we’ll offer: At CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, you’ll have access to great perks and amenities:\nSweat it out -- Free onsite fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, plus daily group classes \nEat up -- Gourmet cafeteria with daily specials plus soup and salad bars \nExtras -- Dry cleaning, and sneak peeks \nDon’t have a car?
