You’ll work closely with product, design, video, and backend teams to deliver scalable and intuitive mobile products.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain native Android applications with a focus on performance, usability, and video streaming.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features.\nOptimize app performance, memory usage, and network efficiency for a smooth user experience.\nEnsure high code quality through test automation, peer reviews, and engineering best practices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.\nIntegrate video playback technologies including HLS/DASH and DRM across a variety of devices.\nWork closely with the Video Engineering and Platform teams to ensure seamless video experiences.\nParticipate in architecture discussions and influence key technical decisions.\nStay current with Android platform advancements and media consumption trends.\n Qualifications & Requirements\n5+ years of professional Android development experience.\nDeep knowledge of Kotlin and Java, and familiarity with Jetpack libraries.\nExperience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or other scalable mobile app architectures.\nStrong understanding of mobile design patterns, UI/UX principles, responsive design, and modern UI frameworks such as Jetpack Compose.\nExperience with video streaming on Android (HLS/DASH/CMAF), media playback and DRM.\nDeep understanding of the Android app lifecycle, efficient memory management, and asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and/or RxJava.\nFamiliarity with REST and GraphQL APIs.
