This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and deep expertise in project management methodologies.\nMust be an Australian citizen with security clearance and currently residing in Australia.\nResponsibilities\nLead end-to-end delivery of large, complex, or high-risk projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.\nDefine project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria with key stakeholders.\nDevelop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and governance requirements.\nProvide clear and consistent communication to stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leaders.\nFacilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and alignment across cross-functional teams.\nMentor and support project team members to foster collaboration and high performance.\nIdentify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, with timely escalation where required.\nManage change requests, assessing impacts and ensuring appropriate approvals and communication.\nEnsure compliance with organisational governance frameworks, standards, and regulatory obligations.\nConduct post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and applying continuous improvement.\nImplement and promote project management best practices, tools, and methodologies.\nDrive efficiency, innovation, and improvement in delivery processes and project outcomes.\nProven record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.\nExperience and Qualifications\n7-10+ years’ experience delivering complex, large-scale projects in enterprise environments.\nProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage senior stakeholder groups.\nDemonstrated success delivering technology, transformation, or business-change initiatives.\nStrong financial management capability, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.\nDeep knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).\nExcellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills.\nHigh proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.\nTertiary qualification in Business, Technology, or a related discipline (preferred).\nProfessional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master (highly regarded).\nLife at Versent\nWe're a diverse team of motivated humans who think outside the box and strive to deliver what others might consider impossible.
