Invest in us and we’ll invest in you!.\n We are seeking an experienced Data Specialist to support the delivery, enhancement and ongoing development of enterprise data and analytics solutions.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with project teams, business units, technical teams and other stakeholders to analyse and transform data, develop reporting and analytics solutions, and support strategic data initiatives.\nThis role requires strong hands-on experience across the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Power BI, together with strong SQL, data engineering and data modelling capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models and data warehouse solutions.\nBuild and support ETL/ELT processes that integrate data from multiple source systems.\nDevelop and maintain solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse and Power BI.\nAnalyse complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies and actionable insights.\nDevelop dashboards, reports and analytics solutions to support business and operational decision-making.\nDesign and optimise complex data models and datasets.\nUse Python and SQL for data manipulation, transformation and analysis.\nSupport and enhance existing data solutions as they scale.\nOptimise code, queries, pipelines and processes for performance and reliability.\nPerform root cause analysis on data quality and data processing issues.\nIdentify opportunities to reuse and improve existing data flows and solutions.\nUse Azure DevOps, including Boards, Repos, Pipelines and Test Plans, to support development and delivery.\nDesign and implement appropriate build, release, deployment and configuration processes.\nApply data standards, governance and best practices, including GDPR requirements.\nWork collaboratively within an Agile delivery environment.\n Candidates should demonstrate:\n4-6 years' experience in a similar Data Specialist, Data Engineering or closely related role.\nAt least 2 years' experience operating in a lead capacity.\nStrong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory.\nStrong experience with Azure Synapse.\nStrong experience with Power BI or equivalent BI/reporting technologies.\nAdvanced SQL and database experience.\nExperience using Python for data manipulation and analysis.\nStrong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.\nExperience designing and developing data warehouses and data architectures.\nStrong data modelling experience, including working with complex datasets.\nExperience using Azure DevOps and CI/CD/build and release processes.\nStrong data analysis and problem-solving skills.\nExperience with data visualisation and reporting.\nExperience working within Agile delivery teams.\nUnderstanding of data governance, standards and GDPR.\nStrong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.\nQualifications\nMicrosoft certification in Data Analysis, Data Engineering or equivalent.\nPrimary degree in a relevant Technology/IT discipline, NFQ Level 7 or equivalent.\nNative-level English or CEFR C2 Proficiency/equivalent.
