You’ll work across modern AWS, Kubernetes and containerised environments, with a strong focus on Dynatrace, distributed tracing and DQL.\nYou’ll also play a key role in incident resolution, root cause analysis, deployments, releases and service improvements, working closely with development, Service Desk and customer teams.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nOwn the day-to-day health, availability and performance of critical applications and services.\nUse Dynatrace, including Distributed Tracing and DQL, to monitor, investigate and optimise application performance.\nBuild and improve monitoring dashboards, alerts and operational metrics.\nProactively identify performance, availability, latency and capacity issues before they impact services.\nLead technical incident triage, root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.\nTake ownership of complex production issues through to resolution or effective mitigation.\nWork across distributed systems, APIs, microservices and cloud-native applications.\nPartner with development teams throughout the release lifecycle, from defects and UAT through to deployment.\nAssess and coordinate changes, releases and migrations into live environments.\nManage incidents, service requests and operational activity through Jira ITSM.\nUse trends and operational data to drive problem management, capacity planning and continual service improvement.\nMaintain clear technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge articles.\nBuild strong relationships with technical teams, users and customer stakeholders.\n What We’re Looking For:\nStrong Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and observability experience across metrics, logs, traces, alerting and dashboards.\nHands-on experience investigating production incidents and application performance issues.\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs and web application architectures.\nWorking knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, containers and cloud-native hosting.\nUnderstanding of load balancing, auto-scaling and cloud networking.\nExperience with incident, problem, change and release management.\nPractical understanding of the SDLC and supporting applications through production releases.\nAbility to perform root cause analysis and turn technical findings into practical improvements.\nStrong stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to explain technical risks and recommendations to non-technical audiences.\nExperience working with ITIL, Agile and/or PRINCE2 environments.\nA proactive mindset with a strong focus on service reliability and continuous improvement.\nGreat to Have:\nHands-on Dynatrace experience, particularly Distributed Tracing and Dynatrace Query Language (DQL).\nAWS experience across EKS, EC2, Lambda and related services.\nOracle and PostgreSQL database knowledge.\nExposure to Java, Angular and JavaScript applications.\nJira Service Management experience.\nExperience integrating
