You’ll coordinate daily schedules, respond to real-time field issues, arrange vehicle and equipment maintenance, and manage courier routes to support efficient field operations.\nThe ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to make practical decisions when schedules or field conditions change.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage and optimize the daily dispatch schedule across San Diego and the Quad-County service areas.\nCoordinate technician assignments based on location, availability, workload, job requirements, and estimated service times.\nWork closely with the Technician Supervisor to balance operational requirements with technician schedules, availability, and time-off requests.\nMonitor schedules throughout the day and make real-time adjustments for cancellations, delays, site access issues, scheduling conflicts, and other unexpected changes.\nServe as a primary point of contact for field technicians regarding scheduling, routing, site access, and logistical issues.\nProactively coordinate vehicle and equipment maintenance to maintain fleet readiness while minimizing disruption to technician schedules.\nManage the daily Courier route to reduce unnecessary travel and administrative errands for field technicians.\nCoordinate sample drop-offs at laboratories and the delivery of supplies, equipment, and gear between the shop and field locations.\nApply knowledge of service-specific time-to-complete requirements to create realistic schedules and prevent overbooking.\nIdentify opportunities to improve routing, reduce unnecessary mileage, and increase technician productivity.\nUse CRM systems, scheduling platforms, and automation tools to maintain accurate assignments and facilitate client and technician notifications.\nMonitor scheduled jobs and proactively identify potential bottlenecks before they impact clients or field teams.\nCommunicate schedule changes and operational updates clearly and promptly to technicians, supervisors, clients, and internal teams.\nMaintain accurate dispatch, scheduling, maintenance, and logistical records.\nSupport continuous improvement of dispatch processes, routing strategies, and field operations.\nRequirements\nMinimum 2 years of experience in dispatching, scheduling, logistics, field operations, project coordination, or a related role.\nStrong ability to organize tasks geographically and chronologically and create efficient schedules across multiple service areas.\nExperience coordinating multiple employees, vehicles, appointments, or field-based activities simultaneously.\nExcellent organizational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to anticipate scheduling conflicts, identify operational bottlenecks, and develop practical solutions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with field technicians, supervisors, clients, laboratories, and internal teams.\nAbility to balance operational efficiency with technician availability, workload, and scheduling needs.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, scheduling systems, and other business software.\nComfortable using digital calendars, maps, routing platforms, and visual scheduling tools.\nAbility to learn company-specific services and understand estimated service times to build accurate schedules.\nStrong ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.\nProactive approach to improving efficiency and resolving operational challenges.\nEnglish proficiency at B2 level or above.\nProven remote work experience with a dedicated home office setup, reliable computer, quality headset, and stable internet connection.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience dispatching field technicians, inspectors, service professionals, or other mobile teams.\nExperience in environmental testing, construction, facilities, maintenance, home services, or another field-service environment.\nExperience with CRM automation, conditional workflows, or automated scheduling and notification systems.\nExperience coordinating vehicle or equipment maintenance.\nExperience coordinating courier, delivery, or sample transportation logistics.\nSuccess in This Role\nSuccess in this position will be measured by the ability to:\nMaximize technician utilization and time spent performing fieldwork.\nImprove job density
