This role sits at the intersection of cloud security architecture, policy engineering, and AWS governance, with a primary focus on preventing data exfiltration through policy-as-code, data perimeter controls, and proactive threat modeling.\nYou will evaluate AWS services before they are introduced into production environments, identify potential security risks at the API and configuration level, and implement preventive controls using AWS Organizations policies, IAM guardrails, and Rego-based policy frameworks.\nThis is an opportunity to work on complex cloud security challenges supporting critical business platforms where security, compliance, and operational rigor are non-negotiable.\nKey Responsibilities\n8+ years of cloud DevOps engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security experience.\nDeep expertise in AWS security architecture and governance.\nDemonstrated experience performing API-level threat modeling for AWS services.\nStrong hands-on experience with:Open Policy Agent (OPA)\nRego policy development\nPolicy testing and validation\n\nAdvanced knowledge of:AWS IAM\nAWS Organizations\nSCPs and RCPs\nData perimeter architecture\n\nExperience designing least-privilege access models in regulated environments.\nStrong understanding of cloud security controls, compliance requirements, and enterprise governance frameworks.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Kivera.io, Cloudflare One, or similar cloud API policy enforcement platforms.\nExperience with Regal policy linting and OPA coverage reporting.\nInfrastructure-as-Code expertise using Terraform.\nCI/CD experience with:GitHub Actions\nOIDC federation\nPolicy validation pipelines\nApproval-based deployment models\n\nExperience with:Checkov\nConftest\nPolicy Sentry\nCloudsplaining\n\nStrong AWS observability experience using:CloudWatch\nCloudTrail\nVPC Flow Logs\n\nAmazon EKS security and governance experience.\nExperience working directly with AWS Support and Technical Account Managers.\nFinancial services, banking, capital markets, or other highly regulated industry experience.\nTechnical Environment\nAWS Organizations with SCP and RCP governance\nOpen Policy Agent (OPA)\nRego policy language\nKivera.io policy enforcement platform\nCloudflare One\nTerraform\nGitHub Actions\nCloudWatch\nCloudTrail\nVPC Flow Logs\nAmazon EKS\nEnterprise Data Perimeter Architecture\nCoding experience with Python, IAC a must\nU.S. work authorization required.
