This role focuses on LV switchgear and switchboard solutions, including UL 1558 switchgear, UL 891 switchboards, power distribution systems, and related critical power infrastructure applications. This position will play a key role in the application, technical evaluation, design support, and optimization of LV power distribution solutions, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, project requirements, and applicable industry standards. This includes supporting hyperscale, data center, commercial, and industrial applications while working closely with sales, engineering, operations, and customers to develop competitive and technically compliant solutions. The primary responsibility of this role is to support technical solution development for LV switchgear and switchboard applications, including product configuration, design validation, technical compliance review, and coordination with internal engineering and manufacturing teams. The individual will ensure solutions align with design requirements, manufacturing capabilities, delivery expectations, and overall business objectives, while maintaining strong commercial awareness and operational alignment.\nThe ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of LV power distribution systems, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to balance customer requirements, operational capabilities, and technical execution in a fast-paced presales environment.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProduct Application Support:Provide technical expertise in the selection and application of UL 1558, UL 891 and UL 67 products\nAssist customers in the design and configuration of power distribution systems to meet their project specifications.\n\nTechnical Solutions Development:Develop custom solutions based on customer requirements, considering efficiency, reliability, and scalability.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product compatibility and performance.\n\nProject Collaboration:Partner with sales and engineering teams to review specifications, create proposals, and provide technical input during the sales process.\nParticipate in project planning, risk assessment, and technical reviews.\n\nCustomer Interaction:Act as a liaison between the company and customers, resolving technical inquiries and ensuring satisfaction with delivered solutions.\nConduct customer presentations, training, and site visits as needed.\n\nDocumentation and Reporting:Prepare technical documentation, including system layouts, schematics, and equipment specifications.\nMaintain accurate records of customer interactions and project details.\n\nProvide feedback for the development of existing and future configuration tools.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in power distribution, electrical systems, or a similar field.\nExperience with power distribution equipment, electrical codes, and standards (e.g., ANSI, NEC, IEEE, IEC, UL, and NEMA).\nExperience with the design and application of Medium Voltage products and power systems/ power delivery.\nSkills and Competencies:\nProficiency in design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions and internal collaboration.\nMinimum 5 years of proven experience within the Medium Voltage industry\nDemonstrated success in working within small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)\nProven ability to adapt to flat or evolving organizational structures, prioritizing initiative over routine.\nCandidates must demonstrate experience contributing to or leading change in organizations, particularly in environments undergoing rapid growth or structural evolution.\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS\nAbility to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\n10%\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPLES: Safety.
