The role develops and delivers integrated critical infrastructure solutions utilizing Vertiv's portfolio of thermal management products and approved third-party products and services to meet customer, technical, and commercial requirements.\nThe position serves as a senior technical authority for complex and strategic projects across Enterprise, Colocation (COLO), Infrastructure Solutions (IS), and turnkey opportunities. The incumbent is expected to lead the technical development of multi-million-dollar projects, provide technical leadership to stakeholders, and drive successful project execution through effective collaboration with factories, consultants, contractors, sales teams, and customers.\nKey Responsibilities Technical Solution Development\nProvide pre-sales engineering support for critical infrastructure opportunities across Enterprise, COLO, IS, and other turnkey project segments.\nDevelop technically robust and commercially competitive solutions utilizing Vertiv products and approved third-party offerings.\nEvaluate customer specifications, technical requirements, and project constraints to develop optimized solutions.\nPrepare technical proposals, equipment selections, system designs, compliance documentation, and technical submittals.\nSupport bid and tender activities through technical evaluations, design reviews, and solution recommendations.\nProject Leadership and Execution\nLead the technical aspects of complex and high-value projects from opportunity development through project handover.\nManage technical deliverables for multi-million-dollar opportunities involving mission-critical facilities and data center environments.\nCoordinate with manufacturing facilities, contractors, consultants, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.\nIdentify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and customer expectations.\nSupport factory acceptance testing (FAT), design reviews, commissioning activities, and technical issue resolution when required.\nTechnical Leadership and Capability Development\nAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Vertiv Thermal product solutions, including CRAC, CRAH, FWU, and associated cooling technologies.\nProvide technical mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing to Application Engineers and other internal stakeholders.\nConduct technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions for customers, consultants, channel partners, and internal teams.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, solution development, and technical excellence.\nCustomer and Stakeholder Engagement\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.\nEngage with customers throughout the sales cycle to understand requirements and propose value-driven solutions.\nProvide technical expertise during customer meetings, design consultations, and project reviews.\nSupport strategic business growth through technical leadership and trusted-advisor engagement.\nQualifications and Experience\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nMinimum of five (5) years of practical experience within the HVAC, critical infrastructure, or data center industry.\nDemonstrated experience in HVAC system design, consultancy, installation, commissioning, controls integration, and troubleshooting.\nProven experience supporting complex and high-value projects, tenders, and critical infrastructure opportunities.\nExperience working with customers, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nKnowledge of Australian and international standards, engineering frameworks, and industry codes applicable to HVAC and mission-critical facilities.\nTechnical Competencies\nAdvanced knowledge of HVAC systems, thermal management technologies, controls, and networking solutions.\nStrong understanding of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, psychrometrics, electrical circuits, control systems, and system integration.\nExpert knowledge of Vertiv Thermal products and solutions, including:CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning)\nCRAH (Computer Room Air Handler)\nFWU (Freecooling Wall Unit)\nChillers \nThermal controls and monitoring platforms\n\nStrong understanding of data center operations and critical infrastructure environments.\nAbility to develop integrated solutions for mission-critical and enterprise applications.\nProficiency in technical drawing interpretation, engineering schematics, control diagrams, and design specifications.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, CFD
