Electrical requirements may include digital, analog, high voltage, and mixed technology including double-sided and multi-layered PCBs.\n\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nInvolvement with engineering design team members in selecting appropriate components based on engineering requirements.\nMust possess technical expertise in reading schematics, drawings, and datasheets.\nInterface with manufacturers and suppliers to source components.\nLayout design of simple to medium complexity Printed Circuit Boards using Siemens Xpedition EDM, including a mix of surface mount and thru-hole technology on using multilayer designs on time and within budget.\nUnderstand app notes for components using circuit configuration.\nAdherent to industry standards and regulations (IPC, RoHS, JEDEC, REACH, UL).\nAssist at times to create and maintain component library databases, schematic symbols, and component land patterns. \nMechanical design aptitude.\nStrong personal computer skills and CAD related skills.\nCollaborate with other PCB designers, hardware engineers, component librarians, and component engineers.\nKnowledge of various soldering processes - e.g. Wave Soldering, SMT Reflow soldering etc.\nKnowledge in IEEE standards for schematic symbol creation, PCB Library Creation as per IPC SM-7351 a plus.\nExcellent organizational and time management skills.\nThe electronics industry is constantly evolving, so staying updated with new components and technologies is essential.\nAbility to analyze and solve technical issues with limited or no supervision.\n.\nMINIMUM REQUIRMENTS: (Education and Work Experience)\n1-3 year experience with any PCB CAD design software.\nBSEE or equivalent or related technical degree (military certification to be equivalent to educational requirement)\nSiemens EDM design capture and layout VX2.4 or higher PCB CAD experience
