This individual will also collaborate with the procurement and engineering teams to improve the data in Vertiv’s systems and the data collected from Vertiv’s suppliers. This role may also support other compliance, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), and engineering activities.\nResponsibilities:\nUtilize the material compliance processes within Vertiv product development (VPD) to ensure that products are compliant and product introduction schedules are met.\nAssist in driving improvement in the process of gathering and managing material compliance data between Vertiv’s product development system and its 3rd party compliance outreach provider.\nDevelop and maintain subject matter expertise on material compliance regulations and best practices.\nAssist in improving the Product Material Compliance Team’s processes and protocols to improve efficiency and quality.\nManage data entry into the environmental compliance database on a daily basis.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering, materials engineering, or related discipline required.\nChemical, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry B.S.\nMinimum 3-5 years relevant experience.\nMS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.\nBill of Material management systems (ex. Oracle PD, Agile, TeamCenter)\nMust have experience working with electronics hardware, components, assemblies.\nMust have experience with product compliance databases. Previous experience with PLM and Assent Manager is a plus.\nPreferred minimum 3-5 years of experience with product material compliance programs such as REACH, RoHS, CA Prop 65 or similar.\nDemonstrated experience with project/program management\nEnglish, fluent written and spoken\nStrong analytical skills; should have the ability to evaluate, analyze and present data\nEmpathetic collaborator whose style builds commitment and engagement.\nIntellectual curiosity about determining root causes to solve complex problems. \nSelf-motivated, driven individual who is comfortable working in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment\nContinuously looks for improvements, owns/acts on problems, takes intelligent risks, and seeks opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.\nClearly exchanges thoughts, ideas and messages through written, verbal and non-verbal methods that promote an understanding with the target audience.
