Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data and Analytics Intern to support the development of scalable data structures, reporting solutions, and data-intake processes within a growing Fortune 500 organization. The intern will work with global operations data, help transform information from multiple sources into analysis-ready datasets, and support reporting for key performance indicators. This role provides hands-on experience in data engineering, business intelligence, operations management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, technically curious, and capable of solving problems with increasing independence.
Responsibilities
Design and build standardized data structures and intake processes that support future data-lake, automation, and analytics capabilities.
Use Python, SQL, and Excel to collect, clean, transform, validate, and consolidate data from multiple business sources.
Analyze operational KPIs and SIOP-related metrics to identify trends, data-quality issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop or enhance Power BI reports and other analytical tools used to support operational and leadership decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify reporting gaps and inefficiencies in existing business processes.
Prepare clear summaries and presentations that communicate analytical findings and recommended actions.
Maintain accurate documentation covering data sources, transformation logic, reporting processes, data lineage, and quality controls.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, or similar data-manipulation libraries.
Foundational understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data-modeling concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, or similar data-pipeline and cloud-data platforms.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including structured tables, data validation, named ranges, and form design.
Experience developing reports or dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
Exposure to data-intake, workflow-automation, or form-based data-collection processes.
Basic understanding of data-governance principles, including data quality, documentation, ownership, and lineage.
Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, or other Microsoft 365 tools.
Comfort collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a global business environment.
