The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the on-site construction process, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety standards, budgets, and timelines. This position demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of mission-critical infrastructure.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProject Oversight: Manage all aspects of construction from site preparation through commissioning for large-scale data center projects.\nVendor Management: Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, and third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and quality standards.\nSchedule and Budget Management: Monitor construction schedules and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders and taking corrective action as needed.\nQuality Assurance: Ensure all construction work complies with company standards, client requirements, and applicable codes and regulations.\nRisk Mitigation: Proactively identify and manage potential risks, safety issues, and design conflicts; implement mitigation strategies promptly.\nClient Interaction: Act as a point of contact for clients on construction-related matters, fostering a professional relationship through clear communication and problem-solving.\nDocumentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, punch lists, daily reports, and project closeout materials.\nCommissioning Support: Work with commissioning agents and Vertiv engineering teams to ensure systems are fully tested and operational before handover.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).\n7+ years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years focused on mission-critical or data center projects.\nStrong understanding of MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems and civil/structural construction.\nProven ability to manage large-scale construction projects with values exceeding $5M.\nExcellent knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.\nFamiliarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, CX Alloy, Primavera, MS Project).\nWillingness to travel extensively within the U.S. and remain on-site for extended durations.\nPreferred Qualifications:PMP, CCM, or equivalent construction/project management certifications.\nExperience with prefabrication, modular builds, or fast-track construction methodologies.\nPrevious experience working for or with Vertiv or similar data center infrastructure providers.\n\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\n80% travel\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
