You will lead the delivery of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and related automation solutions that ensure reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.\nThe role combines engineering design, software development, network architecture, and system integration. You will develop control system solutions and BIM-based designs, producing engineering deliverables such as control schematics, I/O lists, network diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment specifications, and material submittals. You will also contribute to PLC software architecture, SCADA application development, industrial communication networks, and integration of third-party systems.\nWe're looking for engineers who enjoy solving complex, critical engineering challenges, continuously improving technology solutions, and working with modern automation platforms, virtualization technologies, industrial protocols, and AI-assisted engineering tools.\nWhat kind of work will you be doing?\nLead conceptual and detailed design of BMS, EPMS, and industrial control systems for projects of varying complexity.\nDevelop control system documentation, including riser diagrams, network diagrams, I/O lists, functional descriptions, sequences of operation, material submittals, and technical specifications.\nDesign control system architectures, industrial communication networks, and integration strategies for third-party equipment.\nDevelop and review PLC/DDC software solutions using platforms such as CODESYS and other modern control technologies.\nDesign and support SCADA/HMI applications, preferably using Ignition.\nConfigure and integrate Ethernet-based industrial networks, switches, and communication protocols, including Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet, OPC UA, MQTT, and SNMP.\nDesign and configure redundant SCADA systems, including redundant central SCADA units, redundant databases, and redundant MQTT brokers, all running in a virtualized environment.\nCoordinate and supervise controls, fire alarm, and security system integrators.\nProvide technical guidance to suppliers, subcontractors, installers, and manufacturing teams.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Site Deployment, Commissioning, and Quality teams throughout project execution.\nQualifications?\nUniversity degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.\nFluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.\nExperience with automation, control systems, and system integration in industrial, commercial, or mission-critical environments.\nKnowledge of the following areas is preferred, but not mandatory:PLC/DDC programming (CODESYS preferred)\nSCADA platforms (Ignition preferred)\nAutoCAD and BIM tools (Revit preferred)\nControl panel design, testing, and commissioning\nIndustrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, MQTT, SNMP)\nEthernet networking and managed switches\nSQL databases and data-driven applications (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)\nLinux environments and virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, VirtualBox)\nDocker containers and modern software development tools.\n\nStrong analytical and programming skills.\nAttention to detail and commitment to engineering excellence.\nAbility to work independently while effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.\nStrong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.\nCuriosity, ownership, and a passion for solving challenging technical problems.\nA proactive mindset focused on delivering reliable solutions for complex, critical engineering applications.\nTime Travel Required:\n25% of travel in EMEA region\nWho are we?\nAt Vertiv, we’re on a mission to empower the people that will power the future.
