This role is focused on test execution, data collection, and real-time troubleshooting.\nThe engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate product performance, support Factory Witness Testing (FWT), and ensure consistent, high-quality test results.\nThis position requires collaboration across mechanical, electrical, controls, process, and manufacturing engineering in a fast-paced lab environment, with a strong emphasis on independent execution during off-shift operations.\nThis role requires approximately 30% travel to support testing activities at regional lab and testing facilities. Mobility and flexibility to travel on short notice are essential to the success of this position.\nKey Responsibilities:\nExecute Design Verification Tests (DVT) according to established test plans and procedures. \nSet up, operate, and monitor test equipment and liquid cooling systems for shift operations. \nEnsure proper system configuration, instrumentation setup, and test readiness prior to execution. \nMonitor system performance in real-time and respond to alarms, faults, or abnormal conditions. \nCollect, verify, and document accurate test data in accordance with lab standards. \nMaintain detailed test logs, observations, and shift handoff notes. \nSupport data analysis efforts by organizing and summarizing test results. \nAssist in preparing systems and instrumentation for FWT activities. \nSupport execution of test procedures and ensure systems meet defined test conditions. \nProvide real-time support during testing and document results for internal and customer review. \nIdentify and troubleshoot issues related to test setup, instrumentation, and system performance. \nSupport root-cause investigations for test failures and unexpected results. \nEscalate critical issues to senior engineers or lab leadership as needed. \nWork with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to support validation activities. \nAssist with prototype builds, test setup modifications, and system adjustments. \nSupport implementation of test improvements and lab process updates. \nIdentify opportunities to improve test efficiency, repeatability, and data quality. \nSupport development and refinement of test procedures and documentation. \nMaintain organization and cleanliness of lab spaces and test areas (5S practices). \nBasic Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). \n4 - 8 years of experience in test engineering, lab operations, or product validation. \nBasic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer systems. \nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and basic electrical schematics. \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with thermal systems, liquid cooling, or HVAC equipment. \nFamiliarity with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation. \nExposure to ASHRAE testing or similar performance validation methods. \nExperience supporting Factory Witness Testing (FWT) or customer-facing test activities. \nBasic understanding of controls systems or PLC operation. \nAbility and willingness to travel up to 30%, including to domestic and international lab and testing locations.\n\nMust have flexibility to travel on short
