Given the level of travel involved, easy access to an international airport is essential.\nThe EHS Construction Specialist will be responsible for supporting large-scale projects across the EMEA region, with a particular focus on Vertiv Infrastructure Solutions projects. The role will involve developing, implementing and maintaining project safety programmes, ensuring compliance with relevant EMEA regulations and customer-specific safety requirements throughout project execution.\nWhere a project requires dedicated safety coordination, the EHS Construction Specialist will act as the Site Safety Coordinator. The role will also oversee subcontractor safety management, including pre-qualification, training records and auditing, while supporting other departments through safety audits, site visits and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat kind of work will you be doing?\nSupport and promote Vertiv's safety culture on Infrastructure Solutions projects.\nDevelop and maintain the safety program, MS, RA for large projects in accordance with EMEA regulations.\nCreate site-specific safety plans for project sites.\nManage subcontractors, including pre-qualification, training records, and regular safety audits.\nCollect and maintain training certifications for subcontractors.\nDevelop and conduct safety orientations and key training for specific work activities.\nMaintain and manage daily safety documentation on project sites.\nImplement and monitor Vertiv’s SWAT (Safety Walk and Talk) and Good Catch programs, including reporting.\nTrack and analyze project safety performance and report trends.\nInvestigate incidents, near misses, and safety issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nConduct regular safety audits, including subcontractor audits.\nAssist with developing Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for project tasks.\nCreate Safety Plan for project tasks according customer requirements.\nConduct user training for fall protection and other job-specific safety practices.\nPrepare monthly safety reports for Vertiv Leadership.\nProvide recommendations for on-site safety improvements.\nWhat will make you successful?\nBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field (preferred).\nMinimum of three years' experience in construction safety, preferably within large-scale or international construction projects.\nKnowledge of EMEA safety regulations, local laws, and EU directives.\nFall protection and working-at-height experience (preferred).\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nAbility to work independently and complete tasks in a dynamic environment.\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.\nExperience in conducting safety training and orientations.\nAnalytical skills for risk assessment and safety performance management.\nValid driver’s license\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS\nStanding and Walking: Frequent walking and standing for extended periods while conducting site inspections and safety audits.\nClimbing: Occasional climbing of ladders, scaffolding, and stairways during site visits and safety inspections.\nBending and Stooping: Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling while inspecting work areas and safety conditions.\nLifting: Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 15 kg (e.g., safety equipment, documentation).\nManual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and arms for writing reports, using tools, and operating computers.\nVisual Acuity: Clear vision (corrective lenses allowed) for reading documents, screens, and conducting site inspections.\nHearing: Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in noisy construction environments.\nExtended Work Hours: Occasionally working outside regular business hours to align with project schedules and safety audits. \nConstruction Site Exposure: Regular presence on active construction sites with varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.\nHeights: Working at elevated locations, such as scaffolding, platforms, and rooftops, with required fall protection.\nTravel: Up to 80% travel across the EMEA region, including remote project sites, requiring overnight stays.\nTemperature Variations: Exposure to varying temperatures when working both indoors and outdoors.\nWillingness to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic project environment.\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\n50 -
