Electrical Assembly Technician

The Electrical & Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical assembly activities in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong electrical assembly background, the ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings, and experience using a variety of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is adaptable, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

• Perform electrical wiring and assembly of GFCIs, receptacles, load centers, GenPlugs, and related electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Understand electrical load and line configurations.
• Identify and properly select different wire gauges based on application requirements.
• Complete electrical connections and wiring according to established specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot basic wiring and assembly issues as needed.

• Assemble components using hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, ratchets, drills, and battery-powered impacts.
• Read and interpret assembly blueprints and work instructions.
• Perform various stages of assembly, including preparation and final assembly.
• Ensure completed assemblies meet quality and production requirements.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.

• Wrap and prepare finalized assemblies for shipment.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks using a pallet jack.
• Empty garbage and maintain cleanliness by removing daily production waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Adapt to changing priorities and production demands, including working in rushed or high-volume situations.
• Work an 8-10 hour shift, with occasional weekend work as production needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and shipping operations.

• Previous electrical assembly experience is strongly preferred and may be required.
• Experience wiring GFCIs, receptacles, load centers, GenPlugs, or similar electrical components.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Understanding of electrical loads, line configurations, and wire gauges.
• Previous mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read assembly blueprints or technical drawings.
• Experience operating hand and power tools.
• Ability to safely operate a pallet jack or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing production demands and priorities.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently use hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift, move, and position materials and components as required.
• Ability to load and unload materials using a pallet jack.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended shifts of 8-10 hours.
• Ability to work occasional weekends based on production requirements.

This position is performed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where production priorities and workloads may change throughout the day. The successful candidate must be comfortable working under time constraints while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.
