To meet this demand, we are recruiting experience Field Service Engineers to provide consistent quality and support to customers across the EMEA region. The roles will be based out of our Ireland Services Operating unit and will support sites across EMEA. The role will involve extensive travel across the region.\nResponsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:\n(This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)\nAssist Delivery of project site works on LV switchgear panels - Site reconnection involving mechanical and electrical reconnection of switch panels on site:Ensuring all connections are correctly torqued & fastened.\nThorough visual examination.\nLow Ohm (Ductor test) across all panel splits.\nInsulation resistance and High Voltage Pressure tests.\nElectrical Function tests.\nFinal checks and customer handover.\n\nAssist in the completion of preventative maintenance tasks for all aspects of LV switchgear panels:Non-intrusive visual checks.\nThermal imagery checks.\nACB Maintenance including secondary injection tests.\nMCCB Maintenance including secondary injection tests.\nLow Ohm (Ductor)/Insulation Resistance checks.\nAssist with Re-torquing of electrical connections.\nFunctional testing.\nPDU Maintenance.\nPFC Maintenance.\nATS Maintenance.\n\nPreparation of all tools, test equipment and site documentation for project/maintenance activities.\nDaily interaction with back-office personnel.\nCompletion of site related paperwork, ensuring documentation is signed off by all relevant parties and uploaded to client portals in a timely manner. \nResponsibility for safe working practices on-site and ensuring all relevant HSE procedures are adhered to.\nAssume Site Person in Charge/Lead Engineer responsibilities.\nAssume a supervisory role for a team of ~ 8 Customer Engineers.\nProvide close support to Technical Manager.\nBe willing to undertake varying levels of security clearance & criminal record checking for customer sites that have enhanced security procedures.\nAttend customer sites across a defined geographical area.\nQualifications:\nRequired/ Minimum Qualifications:\nRecognized qualification in an Engineering discipline.\nAdditional / Preferred Qualifications:\nMinimum 3+ years’ experience in a site / client facing role. \nExperience with dealing with clients/customers in a professional manner. \nExcellent knowledge of electrical panel testing & fault finding.\nExcellent Understanding of LV Switchgear and Protection devices.\nExcellent Working knowledge of Electrical Drawings/Control Systems.\nExcellent attitude to safety and good understanding of safe isolation and electrical safety and safe working practices.\nFamiliar with maintaining accurate and detailed completion of test documentation.\nProficiency in conducting Client Factory Acceptance Tests / Site Acceptance Tests.\nKnowledge of PC Software & reasonable understanding of IT.\nExcellent communicator - ability to deal with difficult clients under pressure.\nFully flexible to work additional hours and nights/weekends.\nThis is a site-based role and majority of work time will be based on-site or travelling, the role will include extensive overseas travel.\nFull driving license is desirable.\nPhysical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)\nNone\nTime Travel Needed:\n100%","description_format":"text","description_chars":3678,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Ireland","iso":"IE","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Information Technology","Data Centers"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-15T17:55:42Z"}],"liveness":{"score":9,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.244,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":9,"expected_fill_days":3,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","wave","velocity","win:tail","comp:junior,brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/vertiv-engineer-i-field-service-8","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/vertiv-engineer-i-field-service-8.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-25T01:34:06Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1597,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3403,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-26T00:00:00Z"}}}
