You will provide technical leadership across system design, technical compliance, and complex bids, working closely with Solution Architects, Lead Engineers, and global product engineering teams to develop competitive solutions that meet customer requirements.\nBeyond technical expertise, you will mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance design quality, project execution, and overall business performance.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Compliance & Standards: Acting as the technical authority for data center systems (power, cooling, HVAC, BMS, etc.), ensuring compliance with global and regional industry standards.\nPresales & Bidding Leadership: Partnering with Solution Architects and Lead Engineers to win complex, high-value tenders by designing robust technical solutions and reviewing proposals.\nGlobal Collaboration & Product Strategy: Working with international factories and IS Product engineering team to align product roadmaps and resolve complex technical hurdles.\npeople Leadership & Mentorship: Building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing engineering teams while driving accountability for design quality and project timelines\nSupport the team to identify emerging product and process technologies through various channels, including networking, self-research and industry events.\nKeep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.\nCross-Functional Communication: The ability to explain complex engineering concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, investors, and executive leadership.\nContinuous Improvement:\nStrives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.\nHelp to create and oversee commercial submission and engage in cost management strategies.\nWHS, Environment & Quality:\nAssures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.\nComply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment and Quality obligations.\nActively promote safety in the workplace\nRequirements:\n10+ years of experience in designing critical power or thermal systems, with 3+ years of people leadership. \nDemonstrated experience supporting complex bids, specification reviews, system designs and the introduction or application of new critical products and technologies.\nTertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with authority.\nExceptional stakeholder management and interpersonal skills driven by the team's project execution success.\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
