This hands-on role ensures that all systems, machinery, and infrastructure are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical systems.\nRespond promptly to facility-related work orders, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them effectively to reduce downtime.\nAssist in equipment installations, moves, and general facility modifications.\nMonitor and maintain building infrastructure including restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, and office space to ensure cleanliness and functionality.\nWork closely with contractors and vendors during repairs or project work; escort and monitor as needed for safety and compliance.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and logs for equipment and work performed.\nSupport workplace safety initiatives by identifying hazards and ensuring equipment and tools meet safety standards.\nAssist with snow removal, landscaping, and basic groundskeeping duties as needed (site-dependent).\nMaintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and notify leadership when reorder is needed.\nFollow all Vertiv safety policies and procedures, promoting a clean and hazard-free work environment.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n2-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building services, or general maintenance work.\nBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.\nBasic computer skills; ability to use maintenance software or CMMS (preferred).\nStrong problem-solving and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, and use of ladders or lifts.\nOccasional kneeling, crawling, or working in confined spaces.\nAbility to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in varying weather conditions.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical certificate or associate degree in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance).\nExperience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.\nFamiliarity with building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols.\nWhy Vertiv?\nAt Vertiv, we deliver critical infrastructure technologies and life-cycle services for data centers, communication networks, and commercial/industrial environments.
