The FT is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. The FT is also required to maintain continuous communication with CRC, Supervisor, and direct manager.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nA Field Technician is responsible for assisting in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC iMPB, HPB, TOB and communications.\nThe Field Technician is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate\nAbility to evaluate the operating conditions of equipment\nAbility to interact comfortably with all levels of internal and external customers\nMust have the ability and self-motivation to manage one's own schedule\nRespond to emergency calls at customer’s request\nStrive to provide all customers a 'first time fix' for their equipment\nProvide accurate and timely communication to internal and external customers\nMonitoring and ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws.\nProvide accurate and timely reporting of timecards, expense reports, etc\nDrive Continuous Improvement\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nASMET \n1+ years of hands-on electrical environment \nBasic training in electrical theory and technologies.\nBasic knowledge with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals\nMechanical aptitude \nStandard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel\nValid driver’s license is required\nFoster a Customer-First Mindset\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS\nMedium Lifting (30 Ibs. - 45 Ibs.)\nHeavy Lifting (over 50 Ibs.)\nFrequent Standing\nFrequent kneeling / crawling / stooping \nFrequent bending / twisting\nFrequent climbing (stairs, ladders)\nFrequent driving (car, van, truck)\nExtreme cold (below 32*)\nExtreme heat (above 100*)\nNoise Level (Medium / High need to shout to be heard)\nWorking around moving machinery (fork-lifts, tractors)\nProtective Equipment Required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.)\nWork outdoors (no effective protection from weather)\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\n80%\nDue to the safety sensitive aspect of the role, candidates are required to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment.
