Your voice matters, your growth is prioritized, and your success is celebrated. \nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nSpecialist, Financial Systems and Solutions Summary\nThe Specialist, Financial Systems and Solutions supports the Americas Controllership organization by designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence, data integration, analytics, and reporting solutions that enable accurate and timely financial insights. This role partners with Finance, Accounting, Business, and Information Technology stakeholders to translate reporting needs into reliable, user-friendly technical solutions; troubleshoot data and system issues; and support management reporting and analysis. Combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, this position drives automation, standardization, continuous improvement, and analytics innovation to enhance data quality, reporting efficiency, and financial visibility across the Americas.\nResponsibilities\n1. Business Intelligence Development (55%)\nDesign, develop, and maintain BI solutions including databases, data warehouses, Power BI dashboards, and SQL-based reports.\nBuild and enhance ETL processes, stored procedures, and views to ensure clean, reliable financial data.\nDebug and troubleshoot complex BI systems and data integration issues.\nEnsure adherence to established development and change management standards.\nResearch and evaluate emerging BI technologies to support financial reporting efficiency.\n2. Internal Customer Support (20%)\nPartner with Accounting, Finance, and Business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective technical solutions.\nDeliver accurate, timely, and user-friendly reports and dashboards.\nResolve user issues and requests promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.\nCoordinate with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and timely issue resolution.\n3. Internal Communication and Collaboration (10%)\nMaintain and submit accurate reporting logs, trackers, and project updates.\nCommunicate clearly with stakeholders regarding data definitions, report usage, and system changes.\nSupport Finance leadership with data analysis, ad-hoc requests, and management reporting.\nParticipate in meetings, huddles, and cross-functional reviews to share updates and best practices.\nServe as a subject-matter expert for BI tools used within Finance and Accounting.\n4. Continuous Improvement (15%)\nIdentify process and data integrity issues; propose corrective actions and improvement plans.\nSupport projects that drive automation, efficiency, and standardization of BI solutions.\nContribute to Finance's digital transformation through analytics innovation and system integration.\nMeasure improvement impact through cycle time reduction, report accuracy, and financial insight delivery.\nParticipate in cross-functional improvement teams supporting Vertiv's Operating System (VOS) and Business Process Improvement (BPI) initiatives.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\nCertification in Power BI, SQL, or a statistical programming language.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAt least four years of experience in a similar or related capacity (e.g., Data Analyst) within a multinational company.\nKnowledge of finance and accounting processes and systems - especially Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12, Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Service, and Oracle Fusion - is a plus.\nAdvanced proficiency in SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, Impala, etc.), with experience in Snowflake and related programming extensions.\nAdvanced proficiency in Power BI or other interactive data visualization platforms.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office productivity tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.\nWorking knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, etc.) for statistical analysis.\nExposure to and practical application of Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, is a significant plus.\nAdvanced knowledge of data wrangling and data transformation techniques for cleaning and converting raw data into usable formats.\nCompetencies\nProcess-Oriented Thinking - Believes the right process produces the right results; approaches work with a structured, methodical mindset.\nAnalytical Curiosity - Demonstrates intellectual curiosity in determining root causes and solving complex problems.\nAttention to Detail - Consistently delivers quality work with a focus on accuracy; proactively identifies issues, seeks improvements, and pursues opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.\nEffective Communication - Clearly exchanges thoughts, ideas, and information through written, verbal, and non-verbal methods.
