Derry\nDepartment: Operations / Logistics\nAbout Vertiv\nVertiv designs, manufactures, and services critical digital infrastructure that powers data centres, communication networks, and industrial applications worldwide.\nPosition Summary\nThe Logistics Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day logistics operation, ensuring the efficient movement of materials, finished goods, and shipments while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, accuracy, and delivery performance. The successful candidate will supervise a team of warehouse and logistics personnel, coordinate daily workloads, and work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service to support manufacturing operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupervise and support the daily activities of the logistics and warehouse team. \nAllocate labour and resources to meet operational priorities and delivery schedules. \nEnsure the safe receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of materials and finished goods. \nMonitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stock control activities. \nCoordinate inbound and outbound shipments with transport providers. \nEnsure all shipping documentation is completed accurately and on time. \nMaintain compliance with health & safety, environmental, and company procedures. \nMonitor key logistics KPIs including: On-time dispatch \nInventory accuracy \nPicking accuracy \nShipping performance \nProductivity \n\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. \nIdentify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse and logistics operations. \nSupport production by ensuring materials are delivered to the manufacturing floor in line with production schedules. \nTrain, coach, and develop logistics team members to improve performance and engagement. \nConduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and return-to-work discussions where required. \nEnsure equipment such as forklifts and material handling equipment is operated safely and maintained appropriately. \nWork collaboratively with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service to resolve operational issues. \nSupport audits and ensure compliance with ISO standards and company policies. \nEssential Requirements\nPrevious experience supervising a warehouse or logistics team within a manufacturing environment. \nStrong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material flow. \nExperience coordinating inbound and outbound logistics. \nGood knowledge of health and safety legislation within a warehouse environment. \nExperience using ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE or similar). \nStrong leadership and people management skills. \nExcellent organisational and planning abilities. \nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills. \nProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. \nDesirable\nThird-level qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline. \nForklift licence or previous experience operating material handling equipment. \nLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience. \nExperience within an electrical manufacturing, engineering, or industrial
