The Machine Maintenance Technician at Vertiv is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. This hands-on role supports production by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably in accordance with company and regulatory standards.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.\nTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues on production equipment.\nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production support requests to restore operations efficiently.\nInstall, modify, and maintain machinery, conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other manufacturing equipment.\nRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.\nPerform inspections and identify opportunities for equipment improvements and reliability enhancements.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within maintenance systems.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, safety, and efficiency.\nCollaborate with production teams, engineering, and external vendors to complete repairs and equipment upgrades.\nEnsure compliance with all OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and Vertiv safety policies.\nMaintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, notifying leadership when replenishment is required.\nPromote a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nAssociate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.\n3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing equipment maintenance.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment.\nExperience troubleshooting motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and automated manufacturing equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.\nWelding and fabrication experience preferred.\nAbility to use MEWPs (scissor or boom lifts)\nFamiliarity with CMMS or maintenance management software preferred.\nProficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently and effectively in a team environment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.\nAbility to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms.\nOccasional kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working in confined spaces.\nAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, heat, and varying temperatures.\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\n25%\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
