The Punch Operator should have a steady work history that shows commitment, quality, and reliability to their work. You will report promptly to your team leader for your daily duties and will work with your team to ensure that the production goals are reached\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSet-up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment as needed to produce quality parts.\nUse of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure quality standards\nFollow drawings or work orders as provided by a team leader.\nRead/interpret blueprints and make minor adjustments as necessary\nMust be able to maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.\nMust work efficiently while keeping safety, quality and production standards in mind at all times.\nTo promote a team-oriented atmosphere at all times.\nAny other task asked by the leadership team. \nHigh school diploma or GED\nPrevious experience operating Punch Operator \nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measuring instruments. \nStrong attention to detail and quality assurance. \nAbility to lift, move, and position materials up to 50 lbs. \nComfortable working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. \nWillingness to follow safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. \nThis position may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50 lbs. \nWork is performed in a production environment where safety gear (gloves, eye protection, steel-toed footwear, etc.) is required. \nFlexibility to work overtime, shifts, or weekends as needed to support production demands. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSPhysical Requirements\nThe employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:\nLift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday. \nSit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.\nFrequently bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, push and pull.\nPerform grasping, handling, and repetitive hand and arm movements.\nMaintain manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate tools, equipment, machinery controls, and computer devices as required.\nSafely operate hand tools, light power tools, and rotating equipment as required by the position.\nWear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the position. \nAbility to climb and descend ladders, stairs, platforms, and work areas safely as required by the position\nWork Environment\nThe employee will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:\nThe need to work safely around manufacturing processes and equipment while following all applicable safety policies and procedure\nVarying temperatures, including temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.\nModerate to high levels of noise in designated production areas. \nOutdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, rain, and other environmental elements, as business needs require.\nWelding operations, including exposure to welding arcs, sparks, heat, and airborne particulates in designated production areas.\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\nNone\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
