This role directs onsite maintenance technicians to support high production efficiency and strict safety compliance.\nThis role provides leadership to a cross-functional team of Machine Maintenance Technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations throughout the shift.\nResponsibilities\nSupervise Machine Maintenance Technicians.\nMonitor and train team members while ensuring compliance with all safety requirements and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.\nServe as the local subject matter expert for the Vertiv Operating System and report required maintenance performance metrics.\nServe as the subject matter expert for the computerized maintenance management system.\nAssist with the development and scheduling of preventive maintenance activities, ensuring work orders are completed on time.\nSupport the reliable operation of plant equipment, machinery, building systems, and infrastructure.\nEnsure critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are properly maintained and in working order.\nCoordinate maintenance activities across relevant technical areas, including electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.\nFacilitate immediate maintenance intervention and follow-up actions to resolve equipment, machinery, facility, and infrastructure issues.\nOrder and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts, equipment, and tools.\nProvide technical assistance to technicians, electricians, and mechanics in resolving maintenance issues.\nSupport the technical development of the maintenance team, including skills development, communication, and teamwork.\nProvide daily reporting on shift activities, maintenance issues, resolutions, and emerging concerns.\nCoordinate with Operations, Planning, and Engineering teams to support efficient productivity.\nAdminister time and attendance for direct reports using the designated time-management system.\nMaintain updates to the plant’s one-line electrical drawing.\nAssist with architectural design, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and layout work related to equipment, construction, or facility rearrangements.\nIdentify and implement capital projects that support cost reductions.\nPrepare capital and service specifications for bids, evaluate bids, and provide recommendations.\nEnsure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.\nReports to Maintenance and Automation Manager\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.\nThree to five years of experience in facility maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or electrical maintenance.\nThree to five years of management experience.\nKnowledge of applicable electrical and building codes.\nKnowledge of National Fire Protection Association, Environmental Protection Agency, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.\nStrong functional knowledge of computerized maintenance management software.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business partners.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to lift more than 45 pounds.\nAbility to stand for extended periods.\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 10% travel may be required.\nThe successful candidate will embrace Vertiv’s Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.\nOUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
