This role serves as the primary link between the organization and its supply base for quality-related matters, driving continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and supplier development across assigned commodity groups.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupplier Quality Oversight\nLead and coordinate supplier quality activities including audits, assessments, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.\nEnsure incoming materials and components conform to specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements.\nManage the supplier approval and qualification process for new and existing suppliers.\nResponsible for Asian suppliers of all commodities required for Vertiv NA, EMEA and India as well as coordinating SQ support by working with VTC SQ team.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nSupervise, coach, and develop a team of supplier quality engineers and specialists.\nConduct performance reviews, set objectives, and create individual development plans.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.\nSupplier Performance Management\nEstablish and track supplier KPIs (PPM, NC, SCAR, audit scores, etc.).\nLead supplier scorecards and periodic business reviews with key suppliers.\nEscalate critical supplier quality issues and drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration.\nCorrective & Preventive Actions\nOversee the SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) process end-to-end.\nEnsure root cause analysis is thorough and corrective actions are effective and sustained.\nApply problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA) to supplier-related nonconformances.\nSupplier Development & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify underperforming suppliers and lead improvement projects to elevate their quality capability.\nSupport supplier development initiatives aligned with commodity strategies.\nDrive adoption of quality tools and best practices across the supply base.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Global Quality teams to align supplier quality objectives with business goals.\nParticipate in new product introduction (NPI) and design review processes to ensure supplier feasibility and quality readiness.\nContribute to the RACI framework between Regional Quality, Global Quality, and Procurement functions.\nCompliance & Risk Management\nEnsure supplier compliance with applicable industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, etc., as applicable).\nIdentify and mitigate supply chain quality risks through proactive assessment and contingency planning.\nMaintain documentation and records in accordance with quality management system requirements.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (required).\nMaster's degree or MBA (preferred).\nExperience\n5-8 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.\n2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.\nDemonstrated experience managing supplier audits, corrective actions, and performance improvement programs.\nCertifications (Preferred)\nCertified Quality Engineer (CQE) -
