This role involves a blend of hands-on engineering and strategic planning to drive continuous improvement and support production operations.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProcess Improvement and workflow optimization:\nIdentify, plan, design, and implement key projects to improve quality, reduce cost, increase productivity, ensure safety, and improve cycle time by minimizing wasted time, scrap, rework, etc., resulting in significant efficiency improvement and customer satisfaction.Lead and design strategies for improving processes within the Operations organization.\nEmploy Lean methodologies and tools to accomplish business objectives.\nAct as an advisor to the production team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.\nSome automation work is to be expected.\nSupport ISO Quality System, Quality Policy, Continuous Improvement efforts, and utilize Lean Manufacturing Principles. \n\nCreate work Instructions for production associates.Develop, document, and maintain detailed work instructions for manufacturing processes.\n\nProcess Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)Conduct PFMEA to identify and mitigate potential risks in manufacturing processes.Project Management:\n\nEnsure projects are completed on time.\nManage the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.\nLead and direct the work of others. \nFixture Design and Fabrication:Collaborate with the Engineering Department to design, validate, and fabricate fixtures to support product development, testing, and production.\n\nProduction Support: Assist with troubleshooting equipment and machine issues as needed.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nUnderstanding of cost control, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work in a light manufacturing environment.\nExcellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.\nBachelor's degree in a technical field required, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
